Total passenger traffic in September 2022 was 2,818,000 passengers, down 22.8% on the corresponding period in 2019.

Domestic passenger traffic totalled 1,949,000 in September 2022, down 14.7% on the corresponding period in 2019. 869,000 international passengers passed through Sydney Airport in September 2022, down 36.4% on the corresponding period in 2019.

Sydney Airport CEO Geoff Culbert said: “We undertook extensive preparations ahead of the September school holidays which meant it was a much smoother experience for passengers than the July and April school holidays.

“And while the passenger recovery continues to track ahead of the workforce recovery, the two Jobs Fairs we’ve hosted at the airport have assisted in closing this gap, which is encouraging.”
