Tuesday 20 November 2022

A total of 2,966,000 passengers passed through Sydney Airport in November 2022, down 20.5% on the corresponding period in 2019.

Domestic passenger traffic totalled 1,996,000 in November 2022, down 16.0% compared to the same month in 2019.

There were 970,000 international passengers through the airport in November 2022, down 28.4% compared to November 2019.

Sydney Airport CEO Geoff Culbert said: “It’s great to see domestic passenger numbers now inching closer to pre-pandemic levels, with an 84 per cent recovery rate compared to November 2019.

“While international travel is ticking up, it’s still lagging behind pre-COVID levels. More seat capacity is needed to help increase overseas visitor numbers to boost Australia’s crucial tourism market.”
